Statutory Rights
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall affect your statutory rights under the law of England.

Payment
You can pay for your purchases either by credit or debit card, or by cheque.

If you choose to pay by credit card then the details of your card number and expiry date will be securely encrypted before they are transmitted over the Internet. This encryption makes your personal details completely undecipherable by anyone except us, and when we get this information we keep it completely secure (as required by recent Data Protection Acts). Once an order has been processed the credit card details are deleted from our web server computer so as to prevent any unauthorised person from accessing them.

However, if you are still unhappy about keying in your card details, you can still place an order if, having done so, you then telephone us to give us your card details. Alternatively, you can simply pop a cheque in the post if you prefer, although obviously this will delay the processing of your order. (Cheques must be drawn on a UK bank account).

Title to Goods
Ancient Art retains full title to all goods supplied until paid for in full. In the event of the customer's insolvency Ancient Art reserves the right to reclaim goods for which full payment has not been made.

VAT and other taxes
Our products are not subject to VAT.

Orders sent to addresses outside the European Union may be subject to local taxes and customs charges, which will be levied once the package reaches your country. You are responsible for any such charges and if you are unsure you would be well advised to contact your local customs office for further details.

Returns
We want you to be very happy with the service you get from Ancient Art. Therefore

if the goods you receive are faulty please return them to us in their original condition within 30 days and we will either replace them, or refund the cost of the goods (at our choice).
if the goods you receive are not what you ordered, please return them to us in their original condition within 30 days and we will either replace them with the goods you ordered, or refund the cost of the goods and carriage (at your choice).
Please call us before returning any goods. We cannot accept returned goods without prior notification and consent.

We do not operate a sale or return scheme and we cannot accept returned goods unless they are either faulty or are not what you ordered.

We recommend that you use a recorded delivery service for all returns.

Non-delivery of goods
If your goods are not delivered to you within 14 days of the despatch date you must notify us immediately, otherwise we cannot accept responsibility for the lost goods. You will be notified of the despatch date by e-mail shortly after we have received your order.

Damage in transit
Any claim arising from damage in transit must be made both to the carrier and to Ancient Art within 14 days of receipt of the goods. If you sign for the consignment before checking the number of packages and their condition then you relieve both the carrier and Ancient Art of responsibility for loss or damage in transit. Therefore please check the cases and contents immediately upon receipt. Goods seen to be damaged should be signed "Damaged in transit" and packaging materials should be preserved for inspection. A signature with the endorsement "Not examined" or similar is not acceptable and neither Ancient Art nor our carrier will accept responsibility for damaged goods if so endorsed. Damaged goods must be reported within 14 days of delivery otherwise Ancient Art cannot accept responsibility.
